Chelsea
This summer's reinforcements, with special mention of Crystal Palace winger
Ollis (name)
and center picks
Duran (name)
together with
Omarodion (Asturian: Ummorodion), capital of Asturias in northwest Spain
The latest developments.
Chelsea's priority target remains Crystal Palace winger Olivier Olivier. The club are currently working on agreeing personal terms with the player and are trying to find a solution with Crystal Palace over clauses in the player's contract. Chelsea's priority is to reach an agreement with Ollis before addressing other issues.
Another important reinforcement matter for Chelsea this summer is a center forward. Previously Cesc was their priority but eventually Cesc completed a contract extension with Leipzig. Chelsea's two target candidates now are Aston Villa's Duran and Atletico Madrid's Omorodion.
Situation in Omorodion
Omorodion was on loan at Alaves last season and his performances attracted the attention of Chelsea. Chelsea submitted a formal offer for him worth around €30 million with add-ons totaling around €40 million, but it was rejected by Atletico. Atletico have made it clear that such a transfer will not happen and they expect Omorodion to excel under Simeone next season.
The case of Duran
Duran has given the green light to Chelsea to join the Blues. Chelsea's deal with Villa is still subject to further discussions though and could involve a player swap, with Matheson possibly being part of the swap.
Romano also mentioned rumors about Madueké's relationship with Juve. There's no new news at the moment and Madouekei is still an important player for Chelsea. Juventus are currently focused on a player swap deal with Villa for Douglas Luiz.
