After the 2-0 victory over Hungary in the second round of the Europa League group stage, Germany's central midfielder Toni Kroos was interviewed by German TV One. In the interview, Kroos emphasized the importance of the victory for the team's confidence and said that the German team has begun to learn how to win in difficult situations.

Kroos began by mentioning, "Winning the first game is always an important reminder for us. In fact, it's not common for us to win the first two games in a row in a big tournament. As you can see, today's game was tougher compared to last Friday's game against Scotland. But we managed to overcome the challenge and eventually came out on top. I think this signifies that we have started to learn how to deal with such adversity."

He continued, "This win gives the team a huge amount of confidence, which is crucial. Sometimes in a game you can be faced with an unfavorable situation and it's important to react. I'm glad to see that the national team still has the ability to galvanize the whole country. I feel the unity of the group and hopefully that unity will help us go further."
