After Turkey's 3-1 win over Georgia in the Europa League group stage, Turkey's Yazızızı shared his thoughts on the match and his outlook for the future.
Yazezhe began by recalling a key moment in the game, mentioning, "I didn't expect a pass like that from Čelik, whose usual option is to shoot straight at the goal. My shot on that occasion wasn't too bad, but if the angle had been a bit more tricky, it could have been converted into a goal."
On the importance of the game, Yazetse emphasized, "We always believe that the first game is crucial. We put in a lot of hard work in training and the captain gave an inspiring speech before the game. We have spent three to four weeks together as a team, during which time some of our teammates even missed the first meeting of their newborn children. We really are like a big family and this win cheered us all up."
However, Yazetsu is also aware that this victory is just the beginning. He said, "Now, the game has just begun and we can't let this win make us slack off. Both our players and our fans need to stay tense and focused. We are still in the race and with only one win so far, there are still two crucial games waiting for us."
Talking about the goals for the future, Yazezhe firmly stated, "Our first priority is to get out of the group. In order to achieve this goal, we must win our next matches. We can't afford to slack off and must maintain the same level of effort and focus all the way forward."
