The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 14:00 local time at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. This marks the official kick-off of Europe's top club competition. The draw will decide between seeded and unseeded teams, with places in the group stage being finalized through a knockout format.
In the qualification phase and the play-offs, the draw determines the match-ups between seeded and unseeded teams and establishes the home and away arrangements for each match. The specific draw procedure is as follows:
The qualifying and play-off rounds follow a knockout system where each team will play two rounds, home and away. Three bowls will be used for the draw, with the names of the seeded and unseeded teams in balls that will be drawn to determine the pairings.

The 2024/25 season will be the 70th season of the UEFA Champions League and the first with the new format. The biggest change is that the group stage will become a separate 36-team league stage, with each team facing eight different teams (four home and four away). The top eight teams overall will advance directly to the Round of 16; teams ranked ninth through twenty-fourth will participate in a knockout round playoff, with the winner advancing to the Round of 16.
