Thirty-two teams will participate in this tournament including.
According to the finalized allocation of seats for the 24/25 Asian Club Championship, 27 teams from 21 member associations (12 from West Asia and 15 from East Asia) will qualify directly for the group stage. A further three teams (two from West Asia and one from East Asia) will be eliminated from the AFC Elite League qualifying rounds.
Qualifier Schedule:
Four teams - India's East Bengal, Turkmenistan's Altin Asir, Bahrain's Al Ahli and Kuwait's Sporting Kuwait - will play qualifiers from July 31 to August 14 for the last two group stage berths in the West Asia zone. The matchups will be East Bengal versus Altyn Asir and Al Ahli versus Kuwait Sports.

Note: In addition to the teams listed above, a team eliminated from the 24/25 AFC Elite League East Asia Qualifiers will directly qualify for the group stage of the 24/25 AFC Tier II East Asia; * is the team that directly qualifies for the group stage.
The group stage is divided into eight groups and will be played from September 17 to December 5, 2024 in a home and away round robin. The official draw for the group stage will be held on August 16, 2024 The top two teams from each group will compete in a two-legged Round of 16 from February 11-20, 2025, with the championship final to be played on May 17, 2025.
Teams advancing to the group stage will receive a minimum of $300,000 in prize money and additional funds based on their final standings, with the winner taking home at least $3.28 million.
