Top matchups! WTA finalists revealed for year-end tennis extravaganza: Sabalenka, Svartak lead the way

With the Beijing time on October 16, the WTA unveiled the lineup for the year-end finals, and Zheng Qinwen regretted to fall out.

Only eight spots are available for the year-end finals and all are now locked in, with a lineup that includes Sabalenka, Swarthike, Gough, Paolini, Lebakina, Pegula, Chin-Wen Cheng and Wimbledon champion Krejcikova.

1. Sabalenka: 4,430 points in Grand Slams, 3,915 in 1,000s and 736 in 500s;

2. Swiatek: 2,690 points in Grand Slams, 4,780 points in 1,000s and 695 points in 500s;

3. Gough: 2,040 points for the Grand Slam, 2,745 points for the 1,000, 303 points for the 500 and 250 points for the 250;

4. Paolini: 3,080 points in the Grand Slam, 1,725 in the 1,000 and 339 in the 500;

5. Lebakina: Grand Slam 1350, 1905, 500, 1716, 1000;

6. Pegula: 1,440 points in the Grand Slam, 2,115 in the 1,000, 1,120 in the 500 and 30 in the 250;

7. Cheng Chin Man: Grand Slam 1870, 1785, 500, 250, 250, 250;

12. Krejcikova (Wimbledon champion): 2,510 points in Grand Slams, 30 points in 1,000 tournaments, 113 points in 500 tournaments and 54 points in 250 tournaments.

The 2024 WTA Year-End Finals will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Nov. 2-9, with a record-breaking total prize pool of $15.25 million.

Zheng Qinwen says goodbye to Ningbo Open: withdrew due to injury

On October 16, China's Zheng Qinwen announced his withdrawal from the Ningbo Open for medical reasons. Below is Zheng Qinwen's withdrawal statement:

"Hello everyone, I'm Zheng Qinwen. I am sorry to tell you that I have to withdraw from the tournament in Ningbo. After Li Na, Zheng Qinwen became the second Chinese player to advance to the WTA year-end finals singles.
