At the tail end of August, the 21st round of the Chinese League A was in full swing, with four matches being played as scheduled today. Among them, Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rang narrowly beat Qingdao Red Lions by a narrow margin of 3-2 after a thrilling battle at home, while Foshan Southern Lions staged a draw with Nanjing City in an exchange of offense and defense.
In the match between Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rong and Qingdao Red Lion, Yi Xianlong broke the deadlock in 15 minutes to give Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rong the first lead. Yi Xianlong then went on to score twice, giving Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rong a 2-0 lead at halftime. A lightning goal from Giovanni in the 42nd minute instantly extended the lead to 3-0, and although Qingdao Red Lions scored twice in the closing stages of the match with goals from Dai Bowei and Pi Ziyang, it was Guangxi Pingguo Ha Rong who narrowly won the match, 3-2, to end their previous five rounds of undefeated streak.
Meanwhile, the match between Nanjing City and Foshan Southern Lions was a stalemate, with both sides going back and forth and eventually shaking hands with a 0-0 score.
The match between Suzhou Dongwu and Shanghai Jiading Huilong was equally exciting, with Leonardo Silva's long-range strike giving Suzhou Dongwu the lead on 35 minutes. On the stroke of halftime, Dominic Vinicius tied the game with a low shot from inside the box. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with neither side having anything to show for it.
The match between Heilongjiang Bingcheng and Jiangxi Lushan was also uneventful, with Italo hitting the post with a shot late in the game, but in the end neither side scored and a 0-0 scoreline was the final result.
