. The 21-year-old Italian player managed to play for Pisa on loan last season, showing excellent performances, scoring three goals and solidifying a starting position. Genoa's sporting director, Ottolini, had personally watched Barbieri play back in May this year, showing a keen interest in him.
Barbieri joined Juventus B in 2020 since making his debut with Novara and has shown steady progress since his arrival in Pisa. Now, Genoa are looking to bring in the young and talented defender to add new energy and depth to the squad.
