According to transfer expert Di Marzio, the 35-year-old Chilean striker
Sanchez (name)
Close to returning to his old stomping grounds
Udinese
.. Sanchez, whose current contract with Inter Milan expires at the end of this month, is competing with the Chilean national team in this summer's Copa America.
Di Marzio claims that Udinese are interested in signing Sanchez on a waiver, but only if he reduces his salary demands. Once this is agreed, the transfer will hopefully materialize. Sanchez played for Udinese between 2008 and 2011 and could now don the Serie A side's colors again after a 13-year hiatus.
Sanchez, who has played for giants such as Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United and Inter Milan in the past, contributed four goals and five assists in 33 appearances for Inter last season. The experienced striker will bring valuable experience and strength to Udinese.
