In an interview with Dutch national broadcaster NOS, Dutch manager Ronald Koeman expressed his disappointment with the Europa League group stage result in the draw with France, pointing out his team's shortcomings in the tournament and the direction of growth for the future.

Koeman regretted the disallowed goal, arguing that Dumfries had not interfered with the keeper, that the ball had gone into the goal, and that the fact that VAR intervened and took five minutes to make a decision showed that the refereeing team were not sure about it either. He questioned the VAR's decision-making process, arguing that if there was so much doubt, the goal should have been awarded straight away.

Reflecting on the whole game, Koeman pointed out that his team lost possession at certain moments, did not perform well, had too much space between the lines and should have done better in the second half. He emphasized that although the draw was disappointing, the team's goal was to win and score goals. Facing a strong team like France, the Dutch want to play their own style and be brave enough to attack, but not concede goals as easily as they did tonight.

Koeman believes that the Dutch team needs to react faster and create more chances in front of goal. He acknowledged that the Dutch are still a team that needs to grow and will continue to work on their strengths.
