After Ukraine's 2-1 comeback against Slovakia in the second round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, Ukrainian striker Yaremchuk was interviewed to share his thoughts on the match and his outlook for the future.
Speaking about the tears he shed after the match, Yaremchuk said, "It's been a challenging season for me, going through injuries and changes at the club. But I never gave up and kept training hard every day. I am very happy and proud to have scored today because it is a reward for the hard work I have put in." He emphasized that despite the difficulties he faced, persistent training and God's favor gave him the opportunity to contribute to the national team.
Looking ahead to the next match against Belgium, Yaremchuk believes it will be a tough challenge. He said, "Belgium is a very strong team, they have excellent strength and a perfect tactical system. Especially their forward players are extremely fast, which will be a huge test for us." Nevertheless, he emphasized that Ukraine will prepare fully for this challenge.
Speaking about the contribution of the substitutes to the team today, Yaremchuk emphasized the importance of teamwork. He said, "In these crucial games, we can't just rely on the 11 players on the field. We need all 26 players to be able to come on and change the course of the game at any time, and everyone must be ready and sharp. Only then will we have a chance to put in a special performance."
