In the second round of the Europa League group stage last night, Ukraine secured a valuable victory with a 2-1 reverse against Slovakia. After the match, Ukraine's manager Rebrov was interviewed, sharing his thoughts on the match and his outlook for the future.

Talking about the win, Rebrov looked excited: "I'm very happy for the players' performance. After conceding the goal, we responded brilliantly. At half-time we made some key adjustments which showed results in the second half." He specifically mentioned that the substitutes injected new energy into the team, which took the game to the next level.

Rebrov emphasized that the indomitable spirit shown by the team was the key to the win, "We worked really hard to change the result and we deserved this victory." He also mentioned that despite the poor performance against Romania, the team showed a completely different spirit in this match.

Regarding the change of goalkeeper for the match, Rebrov explained, "I'm glad that there is good competition between our goalkeepers. Troubin was excellent in the previous game, so he deserved to play. He played very calmly and in fact he had the strength to start before this game."

Commenting on the performance of the team's veteran Yarmolenko, Rebrov expressed his appreciation, "Yarmolenko is playing in his fourth Eurocup and his experience is invaluable to the team. Although our team as a whole is very young and may not be used to this high level of competition and a full stadium at first, we reacted differently in the second game, which is very important."

Finally, Rebrov reminded his players that despite the victory being a cause for celebration, they cannot relax in training: "We deserve the three points, the players may celebrate a little bit, but tomorrow we will have to go back to the training ground and get ready for the next game."
