The team has interest in Clay, but they are only willing to offer a 2-year contract at this point. While the exact amount has yet to be determined, it is expected to be higher than the contract the Magic gave Ingles last offseason (2 years, $22 million with a team option for the second year).

Klay Thompson's current contract is set to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season, making him a full free agent. In previous reports, it was noted that Klay had turned down a 2-year, $48 million dollar early contract extension offered by the Warriors. Also, the Warriors recently offered Klay a 2-year contract, but Klay valued the length of the contract more than the amount.

In 2023-24, Klay Thompson appeared in 77 regular season games for the Warriors, contributing 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game on 43.2 percent shooting. However, in the do-or-die game against the Kings, Klay was weak, failing to score on 10 shots.
