Tottenham's search for a new manager has been thwarted by the sacking of Italian manager Gandhi and the successive dismissal of caretaker leader Stefano Stelliani. The club's search for a new manager has been frustrating, with candidates such as Park, Puttetino and Giovanni all failing to get the job done. It was rumored that Tottenham were interested in inviting German manager Nicola Sven, but the former Bayern Munich boss had reservations about the coaching position. However, his mentor, Ranilic, has recently publicly stated that it would be a wise choice for Spurs to hire Nacho Svein.
Ranjic, who had a mediocre spell in charge of Manchester United last season, is currently the leader of the Austrian national team. In an interview with Sky Sports Germany, Ranjic revealed: "Tottenham will not require a leader to lead the team to the title immediately, they are very challenging in many ways. Tottenham has one of the best stadiums in the world, the most advanced training facilities, as well as Levy, the chairman of the operation for many years. If Tottenham really want to bring in Napoleon Swann, they need to hire a director to support him."
