Seol Young-woo, 25, can play both left and right wingback positions. He joined Ulsan Hyundai in 2020 and quickly made a name for himself in the team. He was voted K-League Rookie of the Year for his performances in the 2021 season and made his national team debut in South Korea's friendly against El Salvador last June. Seol Young-woo also represented South Korea at the Qatar Asian Cup earlier this year.
Although he previously underwent shoulder surgery and is expected to be sidelined until July, it did not affect his decision to join Red Star Belgrade. Seol Young-woo thus becomes the second Korean player to play for Red Star Belgrade after Hwang In-bum.
