South Korea (Republic of Korea)

The men's national soccer team (Korea) was considered a "good draw". They were placed in Group B, along with Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Palestine and Kuwait, none of which have recent World Cup experience.

Statistics show that South Korea has managed to qualify for the World Cup proper 11 times, while their fellow opponents have a total of only 2 World Cups in their history, Kuwait in 1982 and Iraq in 1986.

With this grouping, South Korea look to be in a favorable position in the early stages of the 18-team tournament as they try to accumulate enough points in the upcoming matches to qualify for the next World Cup. Fans will be looking forward to an excellent performance from the Koreans in their first match, which is scheduled to take place shortly.
