On Saturday night, the London derby was a passionate affair as Tottenham Hotspur met Fulham at home. Spurs won 2-1 with goals from Hejazi and Khalilani, taking all three points and remaining undefeated with four wins and two draws so far in the season. Another highlight of the match was Son Heung-min, the scorer of last season who has yet to open his account and seems to be still having bad luck tonight as he hit the crossbar several times.
Tottenham Hotspur made a tactical change for this match, with new signing Richard Lipson making his debut, forming an attacking triangle with Harry Carney and Son Heung-min. For Fulham, Anders Penrina continued to provide support for Alexandre Mizunovic, and the two sides had a fierce battle with rapid transition between offense and defense.
In the first half, Tottenham Hotspur attacked like a tide, Son Heung-min actively seeking to break the deadlock, but unlucky, a shot from a distance into the net, but due to Halikani offside was invalidated. Then, Son's one-touch shot hit the crossbar, which was really unlucky.
In the 40th minute, Hejchaji and Lee Tsaritsyn played a fine combination at the top of the penalty area, and Hejchaji eventually scored with a shot on goal to take a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Fulham were not passive and had a couple of threatening shots on goal, including Alexandre Mizouwick's powerful shot in the 55th minute that went close to breaking the Spurs goal, with Lloris diving to make a thrilling save.
Spurs extended their lead in the 75th minute when Son Heung-min crossed from the left and Reinschloss passed the ball to Halikani, who grabbed the goal at the near post to put Spurs 2-0 up and take Halikani's personal tally to five goals.
In the 83rd minute, a quick counter-attack by Fulham saw Aleksandar Mizunovic dink a shot from the left side of the field to bring the score to 1-2, but Richarlison's follow-up shot was ruled out for offside by VAR, although he was slightly unfortunate to receive a yellow card for stripping off his shirt during the celebration.
