Reigning champions Manchester City drew 1-1 with Aston Villa away from home in the Premier League at dawn on Sunday (4). Nevertheless, Norwegian marksman Ennin Harlandt continues to show great goal-scoring ability, as he has already scored 10 goals in the Premier League, setting a new record for the earliest double-digit goal scoring in the history of the Premier League (Round 6). He is currently leading the scorers' table and is on course to win the Golden Boot.

Harlandt, who scored a hat-trick for the second consecutive game, did not perform well in the first half, and the counter-attacks of the hosts Villa were more threatening instead. However, City took the lead again on 50 minutes with a goal from Harlandt, who headed in a cross from the right by teammate Chivan Dibny with an excellent bounce. Harlandt then had another shot parried away, while Villa's only chance on goal in the 74th minute was a wild shot from Rian Beni to make it a 1-1 draw.

Despite City winning the title last season, only three players reached double figures in goals, with leading scorer Chivan Dibny only having 15 goals to his name. Harlandt, on the other hand, has scored 10 goals in just six games this season, breaking the record for the earliest double-figure goalscorer in Premier League history and equalling the record set by Mike Quinney in November 1992, when he scored 10 goals in his first six league matches following his move to the club.

City manager Pep Guardiola said after the game, "We played pretty well, but Villa scored with their first shot, the players didn't do enough finesse on the attacking end and that's why we didn't score the second goal." As for Harlandt, who took to social media to say he was now switching to "Champions League mode", City will face West Vale away in the early hours of Wednesday morning (7), where Harlandt scored 13 goals in his last Champions League match.
