After years of struggling on the right side of the pitch, Manchester United has finally turned the corner. Newly appointed manager Tannhäuser has quickly adjusted his strategy, and in the last two warm-up matches, he has paired up Dalouge and Chaton Sinzou on the right side, and the result has been remarkable. Tannhäuser even highly praised the threat of this pair in the side, and it seems that they will become a regular partner in the starting lineup.
In the first warm-up game, United thrashed Liverpool 4-0 with Chaton Sinzu putting in a strong performance and contributing to the goals. Immediately after that, against Melbourne Victory, Daloji's pinpoint cross created a scoring opportunity for Anthony Madill, and the Portuguese winger has overshadowed Yum Bhishakar to earn a starting spot. Tannhäuser has also given credit to their chemistry.
After the win over Melbourne Victory, Tannhäuser said, "The opponent's defense was very tight and we were not successful in attacking on the left side, but we created 4 to 5 great chances on the right side. The whole right side was excellent, with good interplay between Chaton Sinzu and Daloji, plus support from McTomini, Anthony Madill and General Nou Fernandes, but we still need to improve and balance the attack on both sides of the ball."
Manchester United will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon (19th) when they take on Premier League side Crystal Palace in Melbourne. Darroch and Chaton Sinzu are expected to continue their hot streak with starting positions.
