After Turkey's 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the third round of the UEFA Europa League group stage on June 27, Beijing time, Czech player Provod was interviewed. He first expressed his deep gratitude to the fans and reviewed his team's performance in the match.
I want to give a special thanks to our fans for their incredible support," said Provod. Even though we didn't have a dominant number of fans on the field today, we still felt their encouragement and strength deeply. A sincere thank you to each and every fan."
Speaking about the course of the tournament, Provoord said, "In each game, we encountered some unfavorable situations, but it was these challenges that allowed us to demonstrate resilience of character and an indomitable fighting spirit. I believe that this spirit will be a valuable asset in our future matches."
He went on to analyze the tactical adjustments and the team's efforts during the game: "We had some well-designed tactical plans, but we had to make adjustments after a player was sent off. Even so, we fought on and every player did their best to win and support each other. We managed to keep a clean sheet in the first half, but unfortunately we conceded a goal later on. Nonetheless, we managed to equalize and create a lot of pressure on the other team."
In the end, Provod expressed his disappointment while maintaining hope for the future: "We are indeed very disappointed that we were not able to achieve our goal of getting out of the group. We were eager to win and gave our all, but in the end we lost the game. However, this loss will not define us and we will learn from this experience and become stronger."
