Turkish media giant NTV Spor has revealed that German midfielder Osl's contract with Fehrenbach has been officially terminated, ending the 33-year-old star's "dream trip" in the Turkish Super Lig. It is reported that Osl has no intention of retiring, and sources say he is in talks with another Turkish Super League powerhouse, Başakşuşimir, and is expected to continue his career in Istanbul.

Osl made a clean break with Arsenal in January last year, opting to join his childhood supporters Fehrenbach, stating that it was his dream to play for the Turkish Super League powerhouse. However, his 1.5 years in the TPL have not been as good as he would have liked, with poor performances straining his relationship with both coaches. In March, he was suspended indefinitely due to disciplinary issues, and despite a summer change in coaching by Portuguese manager George Jetsis, Osl still failed to gain trust. Although Osl had publicly stated that he would stick around until his contract expired, Fehrenbach decided to terminate his contract early to avoid affecting the team's morale.
