Manchester United's men's team failed to score during the season, however, their women's U21 team is going strong, having just been crowned champions of the Women's Premier League (WSL Academy League). Notably, the daughter of United legend, Karna Solskjaer, joined in the victory and was supported by her father during the match. The "B" was surrounded by enthusiastic fans who posed for photos.
After winning the WSL Academy Cup (Women's Youth Cup) last month, United, the champions of the North, once again defended their league title on Wednesday (27) with a triumphant win over southern champions Chelsea, the team's second major honor of the season. Gana's participation in the match was not missed by his father Suskecha, who came to witness the joy of his daughter and her teammates lifting the trophy together, and after the match was even besieged by avid fans, becoming a popular target for "carding".
Gana, 19, has inherited her father's soccer genes and has taken to the pitch, also as a striker. She has been playing particularly well for the Red Devils women's U21 team this season, not only in the league, where she has played in a spectacular landmark match, but also in other competitions, where she has won a number of matches. Marc Skinner, Head Coach of Manchester United's Women's team, commented on Gana, saying that he sees in Gana what Suskecha used to be: "A top scorer knows how to stay calm under pressure and how to find a chance to shoot, and Suskecha is very good at that, and I think Gana has similar qualities."
