A fierce Premier League Merseyside derby was rekindled at dawn on Monday, with Liverpool launching a furious attack on Ewarton with a whopping 83% of the possession. Substitute Alex O'Reilly saved the day, helping his side to a 2-0 victory at home and grabbing three vital points. The win keeps Liverpool one point behind Manchester City at the top of the table, while Eton drop to the bottom three of the league, with relegation looming over the team.

Ewarton adopted a bus strategy and made less than 20 passes in the first half, but Liverpool also did not have their first shot on goal until the 22nd minute. As the game progressed, both players became more and more emotional.

Like a cat catching a mouse, coach Gopo made a substitution in the 60th minute, with Oleji and Luis Dias coming on. Just two minutes later, O'Leary played a clever pass back to Mohammed Sana in the box, who then crossed for Andrew Robathan to head home.

Breaking the deadlock, Liverpool went from strength to strength, and in the 85th minute, Luis Dias put the finishing touches on an inverted shot that assisted Olejski to break through the roof and seal the win for Liverpool. O'Leary has not played much, this is his sixth substitute appearance this season (all substitutes), but has contributed three goals. The Belgian striker has scored six goals in nine appearances against Eyewitnesses in his Liverpool career, making him a Derby killer.

In this game, Liverpool's possession rate was 83%, breaking the record of the highest possession rate in the history of the Premier League. However, the fruits of the victory were all attributed to the magical performance of Alex O'Leary. After the match, Kopp spoke highly of Olicity: his on-field performance and off-field attitude are legendary, he is a very good player, a world-class striker and Liverpool's best scorer. The decision to play Olic was difficult as Olic was often an absentee in training, but everyone loves Olic and he was once again a key player at a crucial time.
