Soccer's shining star, Son, in a recent interview, fondly recalled his childhood years of hard training and expressed his heartfelt respect for his soccer idol, Cairo. He revealed that he always carries a goal to move forward.
Talking about his past training experience and the influence of his father, Sun lamented, "My father once told me that the training of basic movements may seem simple, but it is actually crucial. Before I was 16 years old, I had no experience in official matches, and I always trained side by side with my father. It wasn't until I was 16 that my father encouraged me to play in tournaments, and that's when I really stepped into the professional soccer arena. Although the wait was long, I know it was a necessary path to success, and I wouldn't be where I am today without what I accumulated then." Speaking about his exchange with his father after the Champions League final, Son said, "After that final, I found my father and just wanted to express my gratitude to him. Although he only said 'well done' when I lost, I know he has always supported me. The Champions League final is not my dream, it's the title I crave. Nevertheless, I will keep a positive mindset and believe we can win more honors."

Regarding the South Korean national team, Son said that despite beating Germany in the World Cup last year, there is still a big gap between South Korean soccer and the world's strongest teams. He mentioned that he scored in the game that beat Germany: "This is soccer, no one expected us to win. Willpower is the key and it can help us beat any opponent. This is history we have made and I feel very lucky. However, the gap between European and Asian soccer is obvious and we want to close it. Although we lack some things, I think the most important thing is to build confidence, which is vital for team building, sometimes even more important than training."
During the International Champions Cup, Son made a point of exchanging jerseys with Crowe, whom he thanked for his kindness and generosity.Crowe is not only a role model for him, but also a target for him to learn from in his career. According to Sun, Crow is a great player with admirable professionalism.

At the same time, I want to enjoy the joy of soccer and avoid struggling under pressure. Bring the love of soccer and respect every opponent so that you can become a great player."
