On Wednesday, the African World Cup qualifiers were full of fireworks, and one of the highlight matches between Nigeria and Ghana was even more volatile. Although Nigeria shook hands with Ghana 1-1 in the home match, but due to the inferiority of the away goals to bid farewell to the World Cup stage, which is the first time since 2006, Nigeria and the World Cup is not related to the agitated fans out of control, triggering the stadium riot.

Nigeria were put on the back foot just 10 minutes into the match when Ghanaian star Thomas Berdy broke the deadlock with a world kick. Although Nigeria equalized with a penalty kick in the 22nd minute, there was nothing more to come after that. Although Nigeria had a whopping 20 shots on goal, Ghana secured their World Cup ticket with just one of their six shots on target.

Witnessing their team's exit, the home fans were furious and threw water bottles at the stadium. After the game, numerous fans poured into the stadium and vandalized the facilities, including the seats in the players' lounge area. The police had to deploy a large number of officers to disperse the crowd and the scene was chaotic.
