Riyadh Crescent host Al Ain in the second leg of the 2023-24 AFC Champions League semifinals. Crescent were under pressure to qualify after going down 2-4 to Al Ain in the first leg encounter. Soon after the match started, Michael created a penalty kick opportunity for Crescent, and Neves calmly took the penalty to give Crescent the lead. However, a goal from Menezes allowed Ain to equalize and the two sides were tied 1-1 at the half.

In the second half, Dosari's goal put Crescent back in the lead, but Michael missed a one-touch chance. Although the Crescent players fought hard and tried to equalize again, Ain's defense was rock solid and eventually held on to the score. At the end of the match, Crescent won 2-1 against Ain, but Crescent lost 4-5 on aggregate in the two rounds, regretting to stop this year's AFC Champions League quarterfinals. This also means that all Saudi United clubs are out of this year's AFC Champions League.

In the following match, Al Ain will face the winner of the match between Ulsan HD and Yokohama Mariners for the title of this year's AFC Champions League. This intense semi-final matchup not only showcases the outstanding strength of the players from both Crescent Moon and Al Ain, but also demonstrates the high level of competition in the AFC Champions League.
