This Friday, the Portuguese soccer world is set for a big event - new coach Roberto Martinez will unveil his first training squad. Ahead of this, the Portuguese Football Federation (FFP) has already revealed the full extent of its coaching team to the public - soccer legend Ricardo Carvalho, 44, will join as an assistant coach, while Ricardo Pereira, who has fought for Portugal for many years, will also join in a new capacity.

Coaching staff lineup revealed

Ricardo Carvalho: 44 years old, former Portuguese national team player and member of the Euro 2016 champions. After his retirement, he joined Shanghai SIPG hand in hand with Andre Villas-Boas. This time, he was invited to be the assistant coach of the national team.

Jesús Seba: 48 years old, Spanish national, has been coaching in Portugal for many years and has worked for Chaves and Belém. He worked with Roberto Martinez at Wigan, Everton and Belgium and will be in charge of scouting for the national team this time.

Richard Evans: 54-year-old Welshman with a degree in sport and physiotherapy science. He worked in related roles during his spells at Swansea and Wigan before joining Everton in charge of athletic affairs. Worked as deputy to Martinez in Belgium and will assist Martinez again this time.

Anthony Barry: 36 years old, assistant coach. He also worked as an assistant coach during his coaching stints in Ireland and Belgium. Currently, he is still working as Chelsea's assistant coach.

Ricardo Pereira: 47 years old, former Portuguese national goalkeeper and decorated player of Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006. He has started his coaching career with the Portuguese Football Federation and will be the national team coach this time.

Nyanaki Vergara: 61-year-old Spaniard from Athletic Bilbao. He has been following Robert Martinez since his Swansea days. Similar to Ricardo Pereira, he will be in charge of training and developing the goalkeeper.

Bruno Pereira: 44-year-old Portuguese who has worked as a coordinator, analyst and scout. Since August 2009, he has been working for the adult national team. When Martinez takes over, he will be in charge of the analysis and innovation department.

Steen Campo: 31-year-old Belgian with a degree in physical education teaching and sports science. After 4 years as a video analyst at FC Leuven, he is assisting Robert Martinez in Belgium. This time, joining the Portuguese Football Federation, he will be in charge of the Analytical Innovation Department.
