Officials of the Chinese Super League (CSL) have announced that Chengdu's Romulo has been awarded the best player for his outstanding performance in the 26th round of the tournament.
Looking back at the 26th round match between Chengdu and Shandong Taishan, a precise corner kick from Romulo broke through the Taishan defense, followed by a clever half-court shot, which led to Chengdu's 2-1 comeback victory over Taishan, with Romulo's goals acting as two heavy hammers to open the door to victory.
Romulo was awarded a whopping 89 points, including 40 points from the media and a total of 49 points from individuals, a well-deserved honor.
