In the late afternoon, the Chinese Professional Football Salon Federation held a crucial preparatory meeting where the remaining fixtures and formats for this season's Chinese Super League were announced. As speculated, this year's league will be shortened to 22 rounds instead of the regular 30.

The 6th round of the Chinese Super League had to be postponed due to the adjustment of the venue for the 40-team tournament, and the tournament, which was originally scheduled to start on June 21, was postponed to mid-July. At today's preparatory meeting, it was officially announced that the Chinese Super League will restart on July 18 and end on August 12 with the remaining rounds 6 to 14 of the first phase. The two bye matches between Henan Songshan and Guangzhou and Beijing Guoan and Hebei are scheduled for July 15th and 16th.

In order to make room for the upcoming Top 12, there will be no Super League matches from September to November, so the league, which was originally divided into three phases, will now be reduced to two. After the 14 rounds of the first phase are completed on August 12, the eight rounds of the second phase will be played from December 1 to January 3, with the final standings of the season based on the total points scored in the two phases. Notably, this will be the first time in the history of the Chinese Super League that the league will be held across years.
