On June 30, the Korean Football Association (KFA) officially unveiled the 18-player lineup for the South Korean national Olympic team to compete in the Tokyo Olympics, and the list is particularly notable for Kim Min-Ja, a player from Beijing Guoan of the Chinese Super League. The overage players also have Kwon Chang-hoon and Hwang Yi-suk, from Suwon Samsung and Bordeaux respectively. Kim's inclusion makes him set to miss the remaining nine rounds of the Chinese Super League.
The South Korean National Olympic Team, led by coach Kim Hak-bum, recently played two friendly matches against the Ghanaian National Olympic Team on Jeju Island and finalized an 18-member roster after a selection process in line with the rules for participation in the Olympic soccer tournament.
