This Tottenham-Liverpool matchup is as much a feast for the fans as it is a feast at the end of the weekend and Christmas. I would like to wish all my readers a good Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Looking back at last season, the two teams faced off in an up-and-down Premier League clash at Tottenham's home ground. Liverpool players received two red cards, while Tottenham came close to winning in extra time. I'm sure it will be an exciting matchup, given the strong attacking desire shown by both sides.

For Tottenham, Pusztygow Road is keen to stabilize the team and address its inconsistency in the new year. The league win over Southampton temporarily eased the doubts, especially considering the fact that only one point had been gained from the first three league games.

After scoring consecutive goals against Southampton, Tottenham temporarily climbed to second in the league and at least third. However, such a run of results has not allowed them to capitalize on their lead very well, which seems to be a major problem for the North London side.

James Maddison has become Tottenham's leading scorer in the league after two excellent performances against Southampton. Although he was only listed as a substitute in the previous game against Chelsea, he proved his mettle with his performance in this game. He has scored for the Reds 12 times in his career, which is quite impressive for a midfielder.

As for Liverpool, they seem to be in trouble in their last two league games. However, this is just a joke and the fact is that Chelsea are closing in on them at the top of the league table.

Schillo may be frustrated with the loss of points, but he may be even more disappointed with the goals his team has conceded. Liverpool currently lead the Premier League in goals conceded with 13, but seven of those have come in the last four games, which certainly sets off defensive alarm bells.

However, scoring goals is not a problem for the Reds with key player Mohamed Sana winning six of his last seven league games. Shana is also keen to take on Tottenham, contributing 14 goals in 20 games.

Tottenham have failed to win any of their last three home league games and more worryingly, they have won just one of their last 14 games against the Reds, losing 10. Despite Liverpool being unbeaten in the league this season, all signs point to a win for the Reds. However, I'm choosing not to believe these historical figures and I think Christmas will be over and the sides will shake hands.
