The Premier League is on fire, with Liverpool at the top of the table. Just in time for the Christmas festivities, my neighborhood team, Ewarton, contributed an impressive performance. A 0-0 draw against Arsenal was followed by a 0-0 win at home against Arsenal on Sunday (22nd), making Liverpool's two biggest rivals lose points in quick succession.
The Chelsea boss spoke highly of the Ewarton defense after the game, praising their draw as equally deserving.
Although Chelsea controlled the pace of the game, the team stepped up their attack in the second half against the EWT defense, which was like a brick wall, only to leave the Blues with the wind in their sails several times in front of the goal. In the end, the match ended 0-0 again. In the past six league matches, EWT remained undefeated in five, giving Arsenal and Chelsea a taste of their own medicine for the second week in a row. Liverpool could not be more grateful for Ewarton's contribution.
After the game, Maliska exclaimed, "I'm very happy, this makes me even happier than last week's win at Pennsylvania Ford. Ivoryton is a very tough team to beat, and they are among the top five European giants in terms of shutouts. I was very pleased with the defensive performance today."
