Aston Villa suffered a thrilling challenge in the early hours of Sunday morning (15) in a passionate Premier League clash. Argentinian goalkeeper Damian Martinez made a jaw-dropping 360-degree "spin" save to deny Nottingham Forest a goal that has been hailed as a classic in Premier League history. However, Villa conceded two goals in the closing moments of the game and lost 1-2.

The game climaxed with two headers from Forest's Nicolas Duminkis going close to the net on 60 minutes, but Martinez, with his amazing reflexes, kept the ball out with both hands. Immediately afterwards, Villa escaped with a quick, big clearance from a teammate. Three minutes later, Zohan Duran's brilliant lob created a record. However, Forest did not give up and attacked in the final stages of the game, with Nicolami equalizing in the 87th minute, and Elanga's strike in stoppage time giving Forest a dramatic 2-1 comeback win.

Former England international Lerner marveled at Martinez's save: "I've never seen such a great save in the Premier League. If you want to compare it, you have to mention Gordon Binns saving Billy's header! Martinez's reaction time was unbelievable, not only did he block that ball, but he completely neutralized the opponent's attack!"
