In the early light of dawn on Tuesday, Westham edged out Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at their own stadium. A seemingly quiet contest was a dark one, with both coaches under the shadow of sackings and the smell of tension and gunpowder in the air. England international Chalo Pao-yun barged into the Mepo like a hero to add to the victory. But as the match came to an end, he and Wolves captain Lemay had an uneasy handshake argument that nearly triggered a suspension, and neither seemed to be able to walk away from the contest unscathed.

Westham striker Michali Antonio was recently involved in a car accident that shocked the whole team. For this reason, the team paid special tribute to this teammate with the No.9 jersey during the match. Under pressure, both sides played conservatively in the first half, with Thomas Souzik scoring first for Westham in the 54th minute with a cleverly taken corner. But Wolves equalized in the 69th minute with a goal from Mate Du Booty.

Immediately afterwards, Chalo Pao-yun made a clever dummy in the box to break through the Wolves defense and fired a shot from distance to seal the win for Westham once again. Wolves players repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the referee's decisions, and anger erupted at the end of the match. Lemay refused to shake hands with Chalo Paun, sparking a counterattack. The two men escalated their argument and struggled together. Eventually, players from both sides joined in the fight, and the scene got out of control, with the referee showing yellow cards to each of the two men.

Garry O'Neill, whose managerial position is in jeopardy as Wolves lose consecutive matches and continue to slide down the table, said after the match, "The clash between Lemay and the Westham players, which the team tried to appease, and the last thing I wanted to see was a stoppage in play, was vital for the Wolves." Westham manager Lubidiku, on the other hand, said he was not concerned about his position and dedicated the win to Michali Antonio.
