The AFL's Brisbane Lions have fallen off the map and the challenge remains daunting when they host Melbourne City on Friday.
The Lions have had a tough start to the new season, only grabbing a point from a 4-4 draw after four defeats, yet conceding a whopping 14 goals with a porous back line.
Strengthening the back four is a priority, and the team needs to focus on the pace of the game rather than blindly pursuing offense, and once the adjustments are in place, with the two excellent quick horses on the side, it is expected to turn the game around.
Berenguia is good at delivering accurate passes, while Thomas Waddingham is young and has the ability to break through opposing defenses. The offense doesn't seem to lack firepower.
Melbourne City, on the other hand, have lost two straight home games but have a pretty bright away record. Nabbott and Magaudilio are injured, but other players are expected to take this opportunity to prove themselves.
Jonathan Gaughan and Andersgoon are expected to fill in the gaps, while 17-year-old Mehdieng Mehmedi is also showing great potential. Injury-riddled Melbourne City may suffer a setback.
Nonetheless, Melbourne City has the power to bounce back, and the Brisbane Lions may not be able to escape being underestimated.
