Last hot summer, Eintracht Frankfurt FC welcomed 25-year-old French international Giorgio Miani for a transfer fee of up to 80 million euros (about HK$650 million). But the player's performance has not matched his price tag. Rumor has it that Frankfurt intend to sell him at half price when the winter transfer window opens next January, and Manchester United have been revealed to be interested in taking over the deal.

Looking back at Goloumiani's 2022/23 season at Eintracht Frankfurt, he made 46 appearances, contributing 23 goals and 14 assists before being signed by PSG for a hefty fee. However, after joining PSG, his form has been as languid as a day in the sun. Last season, he made 40 appearances, collecting only 9 goals and 6 assists. This season, he was even relegated to the bench, making only two appearances in 12 matches, and was jokingly called the most expensive "water goods" in the history of Ligue 1. Therefore, PSG intends to "stop the loss", and Goloumiani is also willing to reduce the transfer fee to 40 million euros.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to release striker Joshua Shukes in January next year in order to bring in a new goalscorer to bolster their forward line. French internationals Meany and Nichancourt have become United's acquisition targets. However, the reluctance of Roush to let Nygancourt join other Premier League teams has made it more difficult for United to bring in Nygancourt, while the chances of Gauloises Maiani have increased accordingly.
