Manchester United coach Emmanuel Amorim is facing a tricky squad shake-up. The team's central midfielder, Gisdian Aleksson, is reportedly facing a free-agent departure as his contract is about to expire.

According to "transfer expert" Romano, Manchester United have not yet agreed on a contract extension for Alexei, and the decision of the new manager, Emmanuel Amorim, will also affect Alexei's decision to stay or go. He is expected to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season.

Despite a solid season for the 32-year-old Aleksson, contributing four goals and three assists, his position seems to be in jeopardy. With Emolian taking over the baton, Aleksson has had to revisit his role in the team and his future seems to be looking bleak.

Currently, Amorim has a "full-fledged" player in Manuel Ugadi, as well as the potential of rising star Minnay. Ericsson will probably be marginalized and become a victim of "natural wastage".
