Former Manchester United legend Alfred Ferguson, who was sacked from his role as 'ambassador', has made a dramatic return to the Red Devils' fold, leading to speculation about his relationship with the club. Ferguson returned to the Otford Stadium for the first time since leaving United in the early hours of Thursday morning's (31) English league match to see his former protégé, Yannis Dallaire, lead the team for the first time as manager.

The $2million-a-year 'United Ambassador' was stripped of his post after Ferguson chose to travel to the Scottish Premier League to cheer on Duckbardians the last time they played at home to Brentford, and in today's clash, he was firmly on his protégé's side. "Cloudy" returned to Otford with former England captain Michael Wojohan to witness United's long-awaited victory.

Ferguson, now 82, is rumored to have been in contact with United this year. Although the two sides "parted ways peacefully", legendary footballer Jane Donaghue has harshly criticized current owner Ratcliffe, accusing him of "disrespect".
