Next week, the stage for the Ballon d'Or is about to open, and the Spanish media predicts that Real Madrid's newest player, Neunis Oszulia, is expected to take the stage to receive the award, as Relevo reveals that not only did Barcelona bring in the newest star, Lamin Yema, but that this son will also be the one who will be awarded the U21 Ballon d'Or for his team (the KOPA award). So, how will the 17 year old boy interpret his story? After defeating Real Madrid in the "Picadora de la Nación", he will be on his way to Paris to receive the award.
At the age of 17, Yema has already become a stalwart of the Barcelona national team, and has even been touted as the successor to former Barcelona shot-stopper Agur. In an interview, Yemma said bluntly: "In my eyes, Yemma's talent far exceeds that of Yunisios. Although Yunisios is experienced and one of the top players in world soccer, if I were a coach, I would prefer Yemma."
Since the inception of the KOPA Award in 2018, five players have been honored with the award and four of those winners might be nervous about the ceremony. Notably, these winners include Killian McBarbie (2018), Bertie (2021), Tongzudi Binningham (2023) and Garvey (2022).
