Chaton Sinzu, a promising player who was once a favorite of Manchester United, is now shining on the Chelsea stage. His performance in the first half of the season was reportedly enough to make up Chelsea's mind, with the transfer fee soaring from the original £20 million to a maximum of £25 million, or about HK$194 million to HK$245 million.

Looking back to 2021, Chaton Sinzu's move from Dormont to Manchester United did not go down well at United despite a £73 million transfer fee, relegating him to the bench and even being dropped from the national team at one point. However, every time he's left the club - whether it's a brief return to Dormont last season or a trip to Chelsea now - he's always come out of it with a surprising amount of energy, which begs the question that United isn't the place for him.

Chaton Sinzu seems to be done with Manchester United despite the change of manager. According to the loan agreement, if Chelsea finished higher than 14th in the league, the player would be forced to buy out. With Chelsea currently sitting second in the league, and a return to the UEFA Europa League very much on the cards for next season, a permanent move for Chaton Sinzu would seem logical.

While at Manchester United, Chaton Sinzu was earning up to £300,000 a week, but he is now willing to take a pay cut to join Chelsea. His weekly wages are now between £200,000 and £250,000, which is not too high a price for Chelsea. For United, this will not only ease the financial pressure, but also means getting rid of a big burden, which is a win-win situation.
