The 38-year-old Nani, the former Manchester United winger, waved goodbye to the soccer field on social media, marking the end of his brilliant 20-year career. Back in the day, he was "C Lang successor", and C Luo together to join Manchester United, become the pioneer of many successors. However, now C Luo has retired, Nanny but chose to end their soccer career.
On his personal social media platforms, Nani wrote: "At the club, I decided to say goodbye and end my career as a professional player. It has been a wonderful journey. I would like to thank all my friends who have guided, helped and accompanied me throughout my career of more than 20 years. I have had many unforgettable moments. Now I will turn the page on a new chapter in my life and focus on new goals and dreams, goodbye!"
Nani began his career at Staatin, and in 2007 he followed in Crowe's footsteps by joining Manchester United, where he played for the Red Devils for eight seasons. During that time, he helped the team win four Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League title and one World Championship. As Crowe's "first successor", he took over the captain's armband in the 2016 UEFA Cup final and led the team to victory after Crowe left the field injured. Nevertheless, he is still not comparable to Crow in terms of personal achievement.
Later in Nani's career, he played in the USL and Australian leagues. His last game was for Emadora in the Portuguese Super League. He celebrated with a backflip during the game, an iconic move that has come to epitomize his career. On the occasion of his retirement announcement, Manchester United's official website paid tribute to him by posting a photo of him hitting a flip.
