Barcelona's transfer market strategy is once again active, as they are reported to have launched an offensive against Liverpool in an attempt to bring in Uruguayan shot-stopper Darwin Nunes, however, their offer of up to £39.7 million (HK$385 million) was politely rejected by Liverpool.

Intriguingly, the striker is not a regular starter for Liverpool, but he continues to be eye-catching on the pitch. Barcelona are reportedly hoping to reach an agreement with Dhauniunis by June 2028 for a much lower price.

Recall that in the summer of 2022, Darwinius joined Liverpool from Benfica for a transfer fee of £64 million, which could have risen to a maximum of £85 million if all the fluctuating terms had been met. Although his performance at Liverpool is not outstanding, he is ranked at the bottom of the team's scorer list, which may be the opportunity for Barcelona to see a half-price promotion.
