In one of the Premier League's marquee rounds of matches, Ashton Villa's early-morning clash on Sunday (15) was dominated by Argentine goalkeeper Damian Martinez's spinning 360 save, which ranks as one of the most astonishing saves in the history of the Premier League. Nonetheless, Villa conceded goals in the closing stages of the game to go down 1-2 to Nottingham Forest.

The highlight of the whole game was Forest going close from a 60th minute corner, with two headers from Nicholas Duminkis grazing the frame of the goal. Martinez's quick reaction managed to intercept a shot that flew narrowly into the net and followed it up with a perfect 360-degree turn to clear the ball. Villa escaped with a goal as a result. However, Forest were demoralized three minutes later when Zohan Duran's long range shot broke the deadlock. But Forest didn't stop there as they mounted a furious comeback late in the game.

The game went into the 87th minute with Nicola Mee posing a continuous threat, and in stoppage time a strike from Elanga made it 2-1, giving Forest a dramatic come-from-behind win. Former England international Lerner said of Martynes' save: "I've never seen such a great save in my life, and if I had to compare it, I'd have to mention Gordon Binns' save with Billy Sheffield's header. He was full of praise for Martinez's reaction time and calmness.
