On the green field, German rising star Corian Waddis has won many fans with his outstanding skills. Rumors are rife that the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are all eyeing him. But according to German soccer insiders, the 21-year-old talent is expected to renew his loyalty contract with Liverpool and continue to play for the team next season.
Hailed as the most promising player of our time, Waddis has been targeted by the Premier League giants and Bayern Munich, however, Leverkusen are determined to keep the central player. The two sides have reportedly agreed on a contract extension until 2028, meaning that Waddis will continue to play a key role in the team next season. Even if a substantial transfer occurs in 2026, Leverkusen are assured of earning a lucrative transfer fee from the deal.
The biggest dilemma in the contract renewal process was undoubtedly financial, but Leverkusen scooped €66 million in prize money in this season's Europa League. An additional €10 million will be paid to the team if they make it to the last 16 of the competition. This income will guarantee that the team will have enough financial resources to complete the contract extension with Wardis.
