The Brisbane Lions, the fallen side of the AFL, face Melbourne City on Friday in what will undoubtedly be a heated contest.

At the beginning of the season, Brisbane Lions suffered their Waterloo, losing four consecutive matches, while FC MacArthur only gained a point despite a 4-4 draw, and the team's 14 goals conceded have exposed a big hole in the defense.

At present, the most urgent task for the team is to stabilize the defense instead of blindly pursuing offense. Once the defense is solid, the team will be able to launch counterattacks from the front and create goal scoring opportunities. I believe there are two good "wave players" in the team, and they can fulfill their mission.

Berengua is good at passing and often converts the ball into goals, while 19-year-old Thomas Waddingham has the ability to shock opposing defenses. In my opinion, their offensive end is full of potential.

Melbourne City, on the other hand, has been quite bright on the road, despite suffering a 0-2 defeat at home to Western Sydney Wanderers recently. However, the injuries to Nabbott and Magaudilio have definitely posed a challenge to the team. But I believe the other players have a chance to prove themselves through this.

Jonathon Gohan and Andersgoon are expected to fill in for Nabholt and Magodilio, while 17-year-old Mehdieng Mehmedi is a promising prospect who is expected to put pressure on the opposing defense.

Despite being riddled with injuries, Melbourne City have the ability to bounce back. The Brisbane Lions will be slighted in this matchup, but who can predict the outcome?
