A 2-0 victory saw Liverpool overtake Arsenal and Chelsea on the Premier League circuit, trailing by just nine points, and with the future looking bright, OPTA, a renowned statistical organization, used its super computing power to dig deep into its data and predicted that Liverpool had an 85.1 percent chance of winning the title.

Before the match, the supercomputer gave Liverpool an 80.4% chance of winning the title, while Arsenal and Man City each had a 9.5% chance. With Liverpool's victory, that figure jumped to 85.1%, while Arsenal's chances rose to 9.8%, and City's title hopes plummeted to just 4.4%, making their prospects of winning the title a worrying one.

Looking back in history, the last time Liverpool were more than nine points ahead of the second-placed team was in that distant 2019/20 season. At the end of that season, they overtook Manchester City by a massive 18 points to be crowned Premier League champions for the first time. Now, the scene seems to be repeating itself in the wheels of history, and the ending of this season will undoubtedly write the legend once again.
