In the 14th round of the 2024-2025 La Liga season, the "dominant" Barcelona team suffered an ups and downs match on the road. Although they scored twice in the first half and early in the second half to build up a two-goal lead, they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw by Celta at the end of the match.
Barcelona took the lead in the 15th minute of the match at the Estadio de Baraidos. This sudden change undoubtedly created an opportunity for Celta to equalize the score.
Unsurprisingly, in the 84th minute, Conde made a defensive error and failed to clear the ball in time, allowing Alfon Gonzalez to break the ball inside the box and score the equalizer for Celta. Just two minutes later, Celta capitalized again. Hugo Alvarez shook down Hector Forte in the right corner of the penalty area and then pushed a shot into the far corner of the net to make it 2-2.
In the end, Barcelona were unable to capitalize on their two-goal advantage in this dramatic match and were held to a stubborn draw by Celta. The result is certainly a wake-up call for the Barcelona team, reminding them that they must be more focused and solid in future matches.
