In the 4th round of the group stage of the African zone World Cup qualifiers held on June 11, 2024, the Beninese internationals and the Nigerian Warriors engaged in a nail-biting encounter.

With the drums of war beating, the Nigerian warriors took the lead in the onslaught. In the 28th minute, Chukwueze's clever cross from the right was met by Onyedika's powerful shot to make it 1-0 in favor of Nigeria. However, the Benin Warriors did not give in as they quickly adjusted their tactics to turn the game around.

In the second half, both players went all out. The Nigerian team tried to turn the tide by stepping up their attack, but the Beninese defense was an impenetrable fortress, and they managed to withstand the Nigerian onslaught with excellent teamwork and tenacity.
