In the January 11 edition of the Timeline, British media outlet METRO revealed the essence of an interview with Premier League legend Alan Shearer, who delved into the transfer dynamics of Newcastle United striker Isaac and asserted that Chelsea are the only giants capable of taking on his transfer fee at this stage.
Shearer said bluntly, "Frankly, outside of Chelsea, I can hardly imagine any other team being able to afford Isak's transfer fee. Numerous teams are effectively hopeless with the signing of Isak under the constraints of the PSR rules. Even putting those rules aside, I have my doubts as to whether any team would actually dare or be able to match Newcastle United's offer."
He went on to speculate, "I think other teams might not even dare to mention the deal. Recall that Newcastle United brought Isaac in for £63 million, and his performances today have certainly boosted his market value. Despite rumors of a £150 million transfer fee, I firmly believe that even if certain teams could afford such a cost, they wouldn't necessarily consider such a hefty transfer fee."
Shearer said: "At the heart of it, the team needs to find a player who can play in the front line, and Isaac is that player. His performances have proven his worth, and who wouldn't want him at any club in the Premier League if the conditions were right? However, the reality is that Chelsea seem to be the only ones who can make this deal happen."
