On January 9, Beijing time, former Manchester United scout Mick Brown launched a detailed analysis of the current situation and future of Manchester United defender Maguire in an interview. Brown reveals that although United have properly dealt with Maguire's contract, the player himself plans to have an in-depth conversation with new manager David Amorim in order to clarify his role in the team's future blueprint.
Brown commented, "Maguire's situation at Manchester United has improved and he has become a key member of the team's three center-back formation, with his recent performances being particularly impressive. Especially in the match with Liverpool, his defense was solid, his headers were amazing, and he made a number of heroic saves, contributing significantly to the team's victory."
However, Brown also pointed out that despite Maguire's recent performance, his future is still uncertain. He said, "Maguire's future will depend on whether he can maintain his starting position at the end of the season. New manager Amorim needs to make a clear decision on Maguire's position in the team. Although Maguire's contract is not due to expire until next summer, it does not guarantee that he will stay at United. In my opinion, his future still carries uncertainty."
